With their headquarters in Colchester, they are close to all our Foundation has to offer. ALL STEEL and GYPSUM Inc is a Sponsor near and dear to our hearts. Owned by the Markus family, they support The Foundation and are close with the Haller Family. The Markus’ met Benjo when he arrived to Harbour Island, Bahamas. Although there for a short time, Benjo started a relationship between the two families that continues to grow.

Waterfront Diving Center

WaterfronT Diving Center. The Live Like Benjo Foundation is excited to announce our new partnership with the Vermont owned Waterfront Diver Center in Burlington, VT.

They are an intricate part of expanding out programs to include SCUBA and we can’t wait to see what this summer has in store for us. Thanks for your support and joining us in our new horizons.

The Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, Vermont

The Boys and Girls Club of Burlington is our main source for students who are awarded scholarships for sailing in our Learn to Sail Program.

 

The Greater Burlington YMCA

The Greater Burlington YMCA collaborates with us in our efforts to advocate for safe swimming practices. This includes signage prohibiting prolonged breath holding at their pool in Burlington, Vermont and Camp Abnaki in North Hero, Vermont. Additionally, they have included us in their summer orientation for Camp Counselors where we have made presentations about Shallow Water Blackout. They have also co-exhibited with us at the Vermont Recreation and Parks Association’s Annual Conference where we combined our messages about safe swimming and Shallow Water Blackout.

Safe Kids Vermont

Safe Kids Vermont (SKV). The Live Like Benjo Foundation is a member of SKV's Coalition. SKV is a non-profit organization made up of individuals and organizations from around the state of Vermont who are dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries in children. SKV serves as a hub for communication and is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of similar organizations with a common mission. SKV was founded in 1990 with the The UVM Children's Hospital as the lead organization.

 

Shallow Water Blackout Prevention

Gene “Whitner” Milner, died at the young age of 25 in his family’s swimming pool from Shallow Water Blackout in Norcross, GA. Shortly after his death in 2011 his family founded the nonprofit organization Underwater Hypoxic Blackout Prevention (formerly Shallow Water Blackout Prevention) in an effort to prevent more senseless deaths.
